Demountable Walls

Demountable Wall Systems, sometimes referred to as architectural wall systems, have grown in popularity and this trend is likely to continue, if not escalate. These modular systems complement trends toward open workspaces by providing for flexible and cost effective space definition and privacy.

Conference rooms, offices and accent walls can be added, reconfigured or removed as space needs require – all with significant tax and long-term tax advantages over traditional drywall construction.

Glass office and conference room fronts are extremely popular as they foster bright and open environments. Demountable demising wall systems offer design flexibility and can include modular millwork options.

Installation costs of demountable walls can be much lower than the cost of traditional drywall construction – IF the right installer is selected. Precision measuring and cutting skills are essential. Specialized handling and installation techniques apply and are learned through experience.

Systems can be complex and can appear, to the uninitiated, non-intuitive. But our wall crews get it – they have the skill and experience needed to ensure you capture the benefit of an efficient installation. During 2019 we installed over 20 floors of demountable walls and we have experience and certifications from, among others, DIRTT, Teknion, Murflex, NXTWall and Holoform.

It is also important to realize that demountable walls are usually installed earlier in the construction process than furniture such that more complicated contracting and compliance regimes generally apply.

Through many years of experience working directly for general contractors (through both our wall and shelving divisions), we understand these complexities and we have the necessary OSHA compliant processes in place.
